5 hours of marching, last preparations for the trek. Departure at around 8h30, we start our trek in the Dades Valley. We cross many agricultural fields and terraces (corn, barley, rose bushes…). We will discover the vibrant green valley of Ouzighimt, and have lunch in Ighrem N’Aqdim on the river bank, then continue our march to reach the village of Aguerzaka. Here, the water and the shadow are abundant and we will have to get our feet wet to pass. We will spend the night in Aguerzaka.
We leave this vibrant valley and its marvellous kasbahs and gorges, to climb about 200m towards the pass that leads to the valley of Ameskar through a juniper forest. We encouter a new village and various houses on the shape of kasbahs of mud. Lunch in the valley of Amskar-
Alemdoune – Quati valley (bay roses Gorges)-
5h30 of marching. We are now at the start of the valley of roses, we regain the valley where we camped on the third day. The rose fields start to show up and take more place in the middle of cereal agricultures (corn, barley, wheat…) and many spiky rosy walls are encircling the fields to prevent goats and sheep from entering and damaging the agriculture. The valley have started transforming and manufacturing rose water products and even exporting abroad. We descend towards Ait Said and Hdida to have lunch then continue towards Tabarkhacht.
We continue our descent of the valley of roses until we reach its capital, El-
Descent of Oued MâGoun on a travelled path, with a panoramic view over the mountains chains. We are now at the center of the valley of roses: Gardens, kasbahs and Berber architecture. Overnight in local house.
We leave our muleteers and we depart in a car or minivan, we take one of the prettiest road in the south of the country driving through Skoura, Ouarzazate, Tichka pass to reach Marrakech. Walking boots. Depending on the season, it is preferable to wear all terrain sandals especially if you’re visiting during hot days (April, May, June, September or October). Solid boots with warm socks for the other months and for the Atlas mountains excursions. Plus a good pair of baskets would always be efficient.
Good sunglasses are a must have in Morocco.

Cotton tights for the cold nights (recommended for winter in the desert)
For the Atlas : Good trekking shoes, a cap, a pair of gloves, impermeable clothes
